Sarah is an exciting new milliner who has a stellar background in bejewelling celebrities heads. She was primarily trained in London by teachers who made hats for Royalty. As part of her training she won an internship to work with the uber hip Stephen Jones, whilst there she worked with Kylie Minogue, Dita VonTesse, Mick Jagger, to name but a few, and had the privilege of working for John Galliano, Basso and Brooke, Erdem, and London and Paris Fashion Weeks. She has recently sent off one of her hats from her new summer collection, to the new Sex and the City Movie. Currently in the V&A in London, there are 4 hats that Sarah made, on display, as part of the Stephen Jones 25 years retrospective.

Sarah was trained the traditional Parisian method of Millinery, but now uses these skills to create a very contemporary edge to her work. Sarah creates individual pieces for clients using the finest of materials, and each piece is lovingly hand-made. Sarah also has a range of Ready to wear pieces available in 2 boutiques, Alilia, Drury Street, Dublin2 and Fran and Jane, Blackrock Co. Dublin. at prices from Eur 100 - Eur180

Sarah has recently opened up an Atelier in The Old Handbag Factory in Bray, Co. Wicklow where she works from and shows off her hats. She also rents out pieces and recreates pieces from old hats. (The studio is open by appointment only)

As part of Sarah’s passion for Millinery, she is in the process of forming a Millinery Society in Ireland, to support existing business, encouraging new designers, promoting the wearing of hats and a universal website to find your local milliner.
