FASHION BREAKTHROUGH UPRISING FASHION SHOW

ashion Breakthrough Uprising Fashion Show took place in Dublin on the 19^th of August on Meeting House Square showcasing emerging Irish designers.

The Catwalk Show was the culmination of the one week fringe event – Fashion Breakthrough. Launched on the 17^th of August with the public opening of Pop-Up Boutique on Cow’s Lane, Fashion Breakthrough presents some of the most unique and edgy Irish talents.

Organised by designer Lisa Shawgi and styled by Angela Scanlon, the aim of the event is to “create an accessible, unique platform for fresh design expertise via a vibrant fringe event that accentuates all that is exceptional in the art of Irish Fashion. The purpose of the project is to keep young designers connected, to provide a high profile showcase for some outstanding work and to promote sustainable Irish Fashion. Positioning ourselves at the creative vanguard in Irish style, our vision is for a reinvented, reinvigorated domestic fashion scene that will bring something strong and surprising to the international stage” (Dublin City Enterprise Board).
